ReaxionsI was going to use it for a block-off plate on an engine, but it ended up using 8mm aluminum, instead, as it's easier to cut, shape, and drill, but this is quality SS, and I'll definitely use it on another project. -

Product Description
316 Metal sheet and dish is likewise called sea grade stainless. It offers complex corrosion and pitting resistance on more aggressive environments, which creates it ideal for applications involving sodium water, acidic chemicals, or chloride. 316L stainless- steel sheet 2B end includes a mill finish, which will is smooth rather than the brushed finish commonly seen upon appliances for the kitchen. Our 316L metal steel sheet 2B finish will certainly not have a protective film to prevent scratching, so the 316L stainless steel will generally have scratching( not gouging) coming from when it is cut to size, fabricated, shipped, etc. In the event that a scratch free surface is required, please contact Stainless Supply to ask about having a PVC film used to the 316L stainless metal sheet 2B finish. Certified to meet requirements for both 316 and 316L. This alloy offers excellent resistance to atmospheric and chemical corrosion. Also used exactly where high strength at elevated temps is required.
